In 2007, Angie Vargas, editor and founder of EyeshadowCult.com, joined the winning team of make-up artists at Sephora where she received extensive training on make-up artistry and product knowledge. A year later, she founded EyeshadowCult.com as a online community for reviews. The site ran successfully for 3 years before a turn of unfortunate events led her to losing all of her sites and files. This was a devastating blow to Angie, who truly loves making and maintaining websites. She threw in the towel for a while, but she knew she couldn’t go out so abruptly and would somehow return to EyeshadowCult.com and her other sites.
Finally, in early 2012 she decided it was the right time to get back into the groove of things and she revamped EyeshadowCult.com on Tumblr and her personal website, AngieInColor.com - which chronicles her life, things she loves and also features articles/video about talented friends and family.
A valuable lesson Angie has learned is that nothing in life is a guarantee and nothing worth having ever comes easily. This is why she makes the best of what she has every day and cherishes her accomplishments.
Angie now works at an upscale beauty salon on the Upper West Side of New York as a Front Desk Coordinator and Social Media Specialist, where she also gets to exercise her creativity!
