Beauty Quickie: Brush Off Eyeshadow!

Often times when applying eyeshadow, little crushed specks of color fall onto our cheeks and nose. This is especially annoying if the eyeshadow is black or a well pigmented color that can potentially smudge onto your beautifully foundation-finished face.
The solution to this is easy, however. Simply grab any clean fluffy brush, I’d suggest a blush brush, and sweep the little specks right off your face with a feather-like stroke. VOILA! It’s like nothing ever happened! ;)
Time to Face The Music
This is off topic, but this afternoon I had the privilege yet again of listening to my baby’s strong and healthy heartbeat. I am feeling ever so grateful and inspired to live and be the best person I can be. I have so much to look forward to. And I am ever so welcoming of both struggles and happy moments to come. I can’t imagine what my life would’ve been if I stayed stuck in the past and never gave those who deserve it, including myself, a second chance.
You can see what you can be
Let go of what you have been
See the world through a different set of eyes
If you can face the future it sets you free from the past
Turn around, turn around you can move on
MOVE ON

Girlactik Beauty Review

Last year, Girlactik was kind enough to share some of their products with me to review on EyeshadowCult.com. I have to say that I am thoroughly satisfied with them all and still use them today. My favorite have to be the lipgloss and blush, they compliment my skin tone so well!
Let us take a look at the products they sent me!

First up is the Star Shadow for the eyes in “Sultry.” This gray, smoky shade gives the eyes depth without going overboard. It has a hint of golden specks in it to liven up the eyes as well.

Next up we have “The Black Liner” which is super easy to use and apply. The slanted tip makes it easy to create a straight line or cat eyes if you wish. It glides on super smoothly. In this instance, I only used a bit. I’ve never been the type to go overboard on eyeliner!

Next, I used the Star Blush in “Florence” which I feel warmed up my face beautifully. I never step outside the door without wearing a hint of blush.

Next up: Star Gloss lipgloss in “Orange Twist”.

Whenever I wear this shade, people compliment me a lot. This gloss is on the natural side, much how I like it. It has a peachy and fleshy tone and does not go on sticky. It also stays on my lips for a while.

In the end, I achieved a polished and natural look, bringing out my best features in a subtle way. This line is great and if anyone wants to try it, I’d say go for it!
